David serves as a Graduate Academic Advisor and Enrollment Specialist at NewSchool of Architecture and Design, where he supports prospective and current students in navigating their academic journeys and identifying programs that align with their goals.

He began his work in higher education as an Academic Advisor, guiding diverse student populations through academic planning, degree requirements, and institutional resources. Prior to this, David served as a Teaching Associate and Graduate Assistant at San Diego State University, where he supported over 500 undergraduate students across multiple large-enrollment courses. Through these experiences, he developed a student-centered approach grounded in clear communication, accessibility, and meaningful support.

In his current role, David integrates advising with enrollment strategy, helping students make informed decisions about their education while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. He is passionate about expanding access to higher education and empowering students to pursue paths that reflect their interests and ambitions. He holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from San Diego State University and is fluent in Spanish.
