Career Support for Students

Our Career Services team offers personalized support to help NewSchool students define their career path. We help you explore career options and gain experience by connecting you to internships, informational interviews, mentorship programs, and reviewing your resumes and portfolios. Throughout the year, we host career fairs, networking opportunities, and the annual GradShow, where graduating students showcase their thesis projects and network with industry professionals. As you get ready to graduate, we meet with you one-on-one to help you launch a successful job search including a review of your resume, portfolio, and project list.

For Employers

Our team reaches out to firms to encourage “top-of-mind” consideration of NewSchool students in the job market. We also work with employers to educate them on appropriate salary levels for architecture, design, and construction management careers. Our insights are based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics as well as industry organization reports. Our efforts promote quality salaries in the design industry at all job levels and support a healthy financial future for our students and alumni.

For Alumni

Career Services consistently reaches out to each recent graduate to offer additional support in the job search including help with interview preparation, connections to job leads, and guidance on negotiating job offers. Once employed, we’re available to all NewSchool alumni to provide ongoing support, encouragement, and advice as you progress through your architecture and design careers.
