Raymond Richard Neutra | Neutra’s Nearness to Nature: Why and How
Stimulated by his father’s 1954 book “Survival Through Design”, Raymond Neutra, M.D., DR., P.H. made his career in medicine and environmental epidemiology. He taught at Harvard and UCLA before joining the California Department of Public Health to head up the Division of Environmental and Occupational Disease Control. He will talk about the roots of his father’s “biorealistic approach” to architecture and the ways he integrated his environments with nature.
