As Senior Outreach and Recruitment Specialist at Newschool of Architecture and Design, Jess Schroeder brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to help students navigate the college enrollment process. With over three years of dedicated experience in the behavioral health field, Jess has recently transitioned into a pivotal role as a higher education advocate specializing in student enrollment and outreach support.
Previously, Jess spent over three years in the mental health field, where she held various positions in Admissions, Peer Support and Case Management in different treatment settings including both outpatient and residential treatment centers. Jess’s background in clinical expertise and crisis intervention equips her uniquely to understand and address the diverse needs of students transitioning into higher education. Jess also comes from a long line of family members with careers in Architecture and Construction Management, allowing her to understand the passion behind the degree. Jess looks forward to collaborating closely with students, families, and community partners to streamline the enrollment process and advocate for equitable access to education.
Jess holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science from California State University San Marcos, graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. Passionate about fostering inclusive and supporting learning environments, Jess remains dedicated to empowering students on their educational journey.
