The career services team organizes different types of events during the year to provide students many opportunities to interact and meet with local employers. The events include the annual grad show, architecture and design job fairs, professional workshops, studio tours, career services strategy sessions, company information sessions and social meet and greets.

Graduate Career Connect: A mandatory event for all students graduating in Winter & Spring of 2018

- NewSchool departmental information on expectations and requirements required for all upcoming graduates
- Booking 1:1 visits to finalize resumes and portfolios, and to review and plan individualized career strategy
Alumni Association’s Dinner with 12 Strangers
An event geared toward networking and bridging the gap between students, alumni, and faculty. Every year, several dinners will be hosted at the homes of NewSchool alumni and faculty, who will welcome students, alumni, and faculty to converse, eat, and partake in this signature NewSchool tradition. This event provides a unique opportunity to strengthen the NewSchool community, allowing attendees to appreciate the diversity and the quality of their fellow NewSchool counterparts. Notices to participate will arrive via student newsletter and is based on first-come-first served basis. Only those who have not participated in previous dinners will be eligible.

February Career Readiness Forums

45 minutes of information focused on those who are interested in preparing for upcoming internships and job opportunities. This series is also recommended for those who would like to participate in the upcoming San Diego Design Build Career Fair being hosted in Balboa Park on Friday, April 13th from 12-2:30pm. These workshops will guide you in preparing a resume which is directed toward your career goal while assisting you to market yourself at your highest level.
