NewSchool’s Career Services team supports students in their architecture, design, and construction management career pathways from the moment they enroll and continues to provide guidance well beyond graduation. We take a holistic approach to career development, partnering with students to create personalized career plans and goals that equip them for long‑term professional success.

Career Support for Students

Our Career Services team provides individualized support to help NewSchool students with their career goals and develop a strong professional path. We assist you in exploring career options and gaining meaningful experience through internships, informational interviews, mentorship programs, and comprehensive reviews of your résumé and portfolio.

 

Throughout the year, we host career fairs, networking events, and the annual Grad Show—an opportunity for graduating students to present their thesis projects and connect directly with industry professionals.

As you prepare for graduation, our team offers one-on-one advising to support a successful job search. This includes personalized guidance on your résumé, cover letter and portfolio, as well as interview preparation strategies to help you confidently articulate your skills and present yourself effectively to employers.

For Employers

Our team proactively engages with firms to ensure NewSchool students remain top‑of‑mind for current and future employment opportunities. We also collaborate with employers to provide guidance on competitive and equitable salary expectations within the architecture, design, and construction management fields.

Our recommendations are informed by authoritative data sources, including the Bureau of Labor Statistics and leading industry reports. Through these efforts, we advocate for strong compensation standards across all experience levels and help support the long‑term financial well‑being of our students and alumni.

For Alumni

Career Services proactively engages with each recent graduate to offer personalized support throughout their job search. This includes assistance with interview preparation, connections to relevant job leads, and guidance on evaluating and negotiating employment offers. Once employed, all NewSchool alumni are invited to continue utilizing our services for ongoing support, encouragement, and career advising as they advance in their architecture, construction management and design professions.
