Designing the Future of Visual Communication

At NewSchool, the Graphic Design & Interactive Media program equips students to lead in the ever-evolving world of visual communication. Blending traditional design foundations with emerging media, students explore branding, user experience, 3D modeling, animation, and interactive design.

The 4-year program emphasizes human-centered design, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and real-world learning. Small class sizes ensure personal attention, and students benefit from industry-active faculty, cutting-edge curriculum, and specialized concentrations—including 3D modeling and digital product design.

Special Concentrations

  • 3D Modeling for Game and Animation: The only concentration of its kind in San Diego, this pathway prepares students for careers in 3D modeling, virtual reality, and gaming.
  • Product Design – Digital Products and Experiences: This unique concentration focuses on blending digital and physical product design to enhance customer experiences.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Graphic Design & Interactive Media program will be prepared to:
