Each quarter The Center offers workshops to help you succeed personally and academically at NewSchool and beyond. No registration is needed, just stop by. Here are the offerings for this fall:

I Didn’t Mean to Cheat!

aka How to Avoid Plagiarism with APA

Offered by The Center & The Library

Tuesday, October 10th

12-12:50pm @ The Center

Plagiarism is the most serious academic offense a student can commit. Once you are a working professional, plagiarism can have an even bigger cost – and pleading ignorance won’t help. By using APA, the official citation style of NewSchool, you can avoid plagiarism throughout your academic career and beyond. Come and learn how!

Attack of the Digital Clutter!

aka How to Manage Your Digital (and Physical) Files

Wednesday, October 18th

12-12:50pm @ The Center

Many students find themselves struggling to organize digital documents, files, and projects. This lack of organization creates chaos and frustration when attempting to locate new, old, and archived files and gets even more complicated when cloud-based storage is also used. Learn strategies for digital de-cluttering to get your files in order. This session will also show you how to apply the principles of digital organization to your physical files and projects.
