Saturday Workshops for Teens Interested in Architecture

NewSchool’s Arch Jam is a free Saturday workshop series geared toward high school students who want to learn more about careers in architecture. Each Saturday, students will be exposed to exciting hands-on projects in subjects like how to design a house, develop a floor plan and create a building model.

This December Arch Jam will be a development of an executive office in a high rise building in downtown San Diego. The students will formulate an understanding of a typical office, create a floor plan, build a model of their layout, and give a presentation sharing all of these elements to the other students and the parents at the end of the session. Interaction and engagement with students and instructors will be key to the success of the seminar.
