Space Patterns / Time Horizons is an advanced, vertical upper division research/design studio: It is open to undergraduate architecture students who have completed second, third or fourth year, or graduate students that have completed first or second year. Students in their graduating years may take the studio, if they have credits pending, and the use of these credits towards this studio is approved by their Department Chair and advisor.
Duration: 10 Weeks – 3 Weeks in Peru & 7 Weeks in San Diego
Studio Dates: July 8 – September 30, 2019
Dates for Peru Trip: July 8 – July 31, 2019
This Studio can replace another studio in the sequence; AR403, or AR501. Credits can be applied towards Studio, Professional Electives, Integrative Studies.
The selection process prioritizes grade-based merit: Minimum GPA for undergraduate students: 3.0. Minimum GPA for graduate students: 3.2. Special attention is given to studio grades, and the quality of the student’s work. Application process is under way.
