Design and Teaching Philosophies: I create longitudinal workflows that enable students to push projects from ideation through production of physical prototypes and artifacts. Transparent logic along with clear, consistent formatting when implementing design processes produces relevant and productive dialogue.
Education: Michael earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Painting from the University of Delaware, and his Master of Architecture degree from the NewSchool of Architecture and Design.
Bio: As an independent consultant, he has international experience with built projects on a multitude of scales, providing parametric modeling of designs, solutions for complex geometry, and development of fabrication logistics. He is also a licensed trainer for Rhinoceros 3D software, and has run dozens of workshops for design professionals at all levels of experience. At NewSchool he has developed and taught curriculum for several classes within Computational Design, as well as the Design Studio sequences for both Graduate and Undergraduate Architecture.
