Elisa Poli, Ph.D

About: Elisa Poli, co-founder of Cluster Theory Research Group, is an architectural historian, critic, and curator. She received her Ph.D. in Architectural History from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Dr. Poli received her teacher training at the Architectural Association in London. She has also taught at the Università Iuav in Venice, the School of Architecture at the University of Ferrara, and the Academies of Fine Arts in Bologna and Reggio Calabria. She writes for several architectural magazines, including Domus, Abitare, Arch’it, AND, Paesaggio Urbano, and Archphoto. She is chief editor of the Italian quarterly architecture magazine Opere.
She has co-authored or contributed to several books:
- Hybrid Living, edited by A. Gaiani, about architectural historiography and contemporary architectural theory
- Oggetti Smarriti, edited by A. Gaiani, about urban representation in city guides
- Processing Theory: Teaching architecture in a society in crisis, with G. Avosani, about learning and teaching processes in contemporary design.
